Downtown Frostburg Welcomes You to Join Us in April for the 2025 Arts Walk

Have Some Family-Friendly Fun with Us and Show How Creative You Can Be

FrostburgFirst is anticipating the gorgeous spring weather by announcing the return of the annual Spring Arts Walk on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11 AM – 5 PM throughout downtown Frostburg. A free city-wide celebration of the arts, the Spring Arts Walk welcomes artists and creators of all mediums to showcase their amazing skills and talents. Small businesses in the historic downtown host participating artists, offer discounts and specials and show off spring merchandise. Organized by FrostburgFirst, a Maryland Main Street Community Inc., and partially funded through Maryland State Arts Council operational funding, the Spring Arts Walk is a free, self-guided walking Arts Tour through the Frostburg Arts & Entertainment District. Attendees may participate in artist demonstrations, contribute to a new community mural, get creative at our family-friendly children’s activities, and enjoy musical and other live performances throughout the day. Rain or shine, Arts Walks will go on because “It’s Just Cooler Here!”

This year, FrostburgFirst is delighted to partner with the Frostburg Children’s Business Fair and Allegany Public Schools Art Show.  The Frostburg Children’s Business Fair, led by local business owner Meg Corder-Roque and located in the Armstrong Garage on Water Street from 10 am – 1 pm, allows participating children to develop a business idea, create a product, and sell it at a one-day vendor fair just for kids. Across the street at City Place,  the Allegany Public Schools Art Show features outstanding artwork from elementary, middle, and high school students in Allegany County.  FrostburgFirst is also bringing back the Kid’s Creativity Street for the Spring Arts Walk with free artistic crafts for children and adults, a scavenger hunt, and other interactive activities throughout downtown, including a new community mural banner attendees can help decorate designed by Chabliss Art.

Make a weekend of it and grab one of the two Allegany Winter Express trains leaving Cumberland, MD at 9 AM & 1 PM. To schedule a beautiful mountain train ride or learn more about Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, visit wmsr.com.

Mark your calendar and bring the whole family to Downtown Frostburg on April 26th, from 11 AM – 5 PM. Spend some time in our charming small businesses, enjoy restaurant specials, interact with local artists, and learn more about the arts in Downtown Frostburg, all while embracing the springtime beauty of Maryland’s Mountain City.
